Boston Online Film Critics Awards 2012

December 9th, 2012 - Graham Eley

…and another one; the Boston Online Film Critics have become the fourth critics group to honour Katheryn Bigelow’s ‘Zero Dark Thirty’ as best film.  The controversial portrayal of the search for Osama bin Laden also bagged best director, best actress (Jessica Chastain) and best editor (William Goldenberg & Dylan Tichenor).

Steven Spielberg’s ‘Lincoln’ won awards for best actor (Daniel Day-Lewis), best supporting actor and best screenplay (Tony Kushner).  It is likely to emerge as a more serious threat for best film and director once the guilds start to announce their awards.
