Indiana Film Journalists Association 2012

December 17th, 2012 - Graham Eley

How refreshing to see the Indiana Film Journalists Association honouring an independent film that would normally fall beneath the radar of the awards season.  Colin Trevorrow’s ‘Safety Not Guaranteed’, which premiered at  Sundance, picked up best film and original screenplay in the biggest surprise of the awards season so far.  There was further success for two other Sundance titles with ‘Searching for Sugar Man’ and ‘Beasts of the Southern Wild’ taking best documentary and the original vision award respectively.
