‘A Good Day To Die Hard’ dominated the international weekend box office, grossing $61.5m in 63 territories. The action thriller, the fifth of the ‘Die Hard’ franchise, claimed the top spot in 32 out of the 37 markets where it opened. The UK, Japan and Russia had the highest returns on $7.6m , $6.8m and $6.7m respectively.
Last weekend’s No 1, Quentin Tarantino’s ‘Django Unchained’, grossed an additional $13.7m in second place. The revisionist spaghetti western crossed the $200m milestone over the weekend.
