Pixar’s ‘Monsters University’ enjoyed a strong second weekend hold, grossing a further $46.2m to retain the No. 1 spot at the North American box office. The ‘Monsters Inc’ prequel now stands on an impressive $171m domestically.
Both weekend wide releases scored ‘A-‘ CinemaScores on Friday openings but fared very differently over the weekend. Paul Feig’s crime comedy, ‘The Heat’, starring Melissa McCarthy and Sandra Bullock, earned $5m higher than market expectations to finish on $40m. But, Roland Emmerich’s high budget action thriller, ‘White House Down’, struggled to $25m, being a disastrous $10m less than predictions notwithstanding the box office draw of Channing Tatum and Jamie Foxx.
‘World War Z’ split the two openers in third place with a reasonable $29.8m during its second weekend in play, taking its overall tally to $123.7m. It represented a fall of 55% for the Zombie pandemic thriller after a much stronger than expected opening.silvitra costocost of silvitrasilvitra tabletsBuy silvitra tablets
